GS1 Digital Link, explained
GS1 Digital Link: A GS1 standard that encodes product identifiers such as the GTIN, batch and serial number into a web address inside a QR code or DataMatrix.
GS1 Digital Link turns the familiar GS1 identifiers into a standard URL structure. The same printed code can be read by supply-chain scanners as GS1 data and opened by a phone camera as a web page.
It lets brands replace several separate codes on a pack with one, and connect each unit to online information such as authenticity, instructions or recalls.
